The Chianti Classico of Castello d'Albola is produced from the main Chianti grape variety, Sangiovese, to which a pinch of a native Tuscan grape, Canaiolo, is added. Once harvested, the grapes, whose bunches are selected with rigor and attention, ferment and macerate on their skins, in stainless steel containers. The malolactic fermentation is instead carried out in wood. Then follows the refinement phase, carried out in Slavonian oak barrels for 12 months, at the end of which the wine is bottled and marketed.
The Chianti Classico Castello d'Albola wine shows a ruby red color, crossed by light garnet veins. The aromas that envelop the nose highlight fruity hints, embellished with spicier aromas and toasted wood. When tasted, it has an excellent structure, which leverages an important tasty sip, thanks to a well-present tannic component. A label which, over the years, has received notable recognition, as evidenced by the prestigious awards assigned by the guides and the high ratings given by the main international sector magazines.
